Suporting Veterans

Energy

Sound Economics

A Disabled Army Veteran, Rusty has helped over 800 Veterans get their  disability from the Veterans .Administration. Rusty will help keep the Veterans Administration Directors accountable and serving Veterans.

The US must be energy independent. Shutting down the pipeline was a major mistake. Becoming dependent on other countries for oil has made our gas double in price while putting thousands of Americans out of work.

The American economy is getting worse. The prices of cars, gas, food, clothing, building materials, etc. are increasing, due to the Federal government's reckless spending of tax payer money.  We cannot afford to spend money we do not have.

Abortion

2nd Amendment

Southern Border

Protecting the Right to Life is essential.  Our children are our future,

The 2nd Amendment is a must for a free society.  Rusty has his lifetime gun permit from the State of Indiana.

Keeping our borders secure should be a top priority for health, safety, and family protection reasons for everyone

Rusty Johnson

7th Congressional District Seat

Rusty spent 9 years in the United States Army.  He was assigned to Fort Polk, Louisiana in 1985.  In 1986, he was bit in the spine by a coral snake while on field maneuvers.  Rusty spent 9 months in the hospital where he had to learn to walk again.  Rusty was discharged in June of 1993.

In 1999, Rusty started J & S Computer Assistance, Inc.  J & S recycled donated computers and donated them back out to Disabled People, Veterans, Senior Citizens, Law Enforcement Officers and Students whose parents could not afford a computer.  J & S Computer Assistance brought in over 108,000 computers in a 3 year period.

Rusty fought the Veterans Administration for his disability for 19 years.  With the help of Fox59, Rusty was able to get his disability in 90 days.  Since that time, he has assisted over 800 Veterans throughout the United States in getting their disability through the VA.

MISSION

  1. Rusty plans to continue to help Hoosier Veterans and be their voice in Washington, DC.  He will work closely with the Secretary of the Veterans Administration in getting disability ratings in a more timely manner.
  2. He will assist the Hoosier Senior Citizens in the 7th District to make sure they are receiving the benefits they deserve.  Rusty will make sure Seniors in the 7th District will know of changes happening in Washington, DC.
  3. There are over 156 Ethnic Americans and languages in the 7th District.  Rusty will make sure he will represent each one so they have too will have a voice in Washington, DC.
  4. Stop the Division!  Rusty believes that we need to stop the division that is plaguing the United States.  We need to come together as one race, the Human Race, all religions and all personal preferences.  Men with evil in their minds, hatred and anger in their hearts who have divided us.
  5. Unity:  We need to unite as one people and make this world a better place.  We can do better!  We have to do better!  When we come together, it will spread across the country.

The Forgotten 12

Rusty has been assisting Veterans for 12 years with getting their VA disability.Within a three week time frame, 12 people came to him for assistance.  Each had been waiting on Congressman Andre Carson and his Staff for 4-6 years.  There were 6 Disabled Veterans, 4 Disabled People and 2 Senior Citizens.  All 12 were African Americans.

Rusty had them call the VA and Social Security, to find out the status of their claims.  Come to find out, the Congressman and his Staff never turned any of their claims.

Rusty contacted the Secretary of the Veterans Administration to help with a couple of the Veterans.  He assigned the others to several Attorneys who handle Veterans claims with the Veterans Administration.  The people who were having issues with Social Security were assigned to appropriate Attorneys who handle Social Security.  Each of the cases were being expedited.

All of the cases had to be restarted since Mr. Carson and his Staff never submitted their claims.  In expediting the claims, they could have them completed within 30-90 days.

Why couldn't Mr. Carson and his Staff do this?  They have more resources than Rusty and the Forgotten families has.  The Secretary of the VA 6 years ago was a Democrat.  The Secretary of the VA now is a Democrat.  All Mr. Carson had to do was call him and ask him to expedite the cases.  Instead, they did nothing.  All 12 had to suffer for 4-6 years.

One Veteran was on life support for many weeks.  Another lost his home, his family and even tried to commit suicide waiting on the Congressman and his Staff.  Each month they called Mr. Carson and his Staff.  Each month they were told they were waiting on the VA or Social Security.  Knowing damn well that help was never going to come!

The Congressman and his Staff could of and should of looked into each file and fixed the problem.  Instead, they did nothing  and our Disabled Veterans, Senior Citizens and Disabled People in the 7
th District continued to suffer.

We can do better!  We have to do better!  We must do better!  Rusty Johnson is pledged to make sure he will do better than Mr. Carson and his Office!  Each day he will be in contact with the District Office Director.  The Director will provide Rusty with a list names of callers and visitors.  The Director will also provide Rusty with what they needed, who assisted them, what they did to assist them.  Within 24 hours, the Director will contact these Hoosier families and see if their request were taken care of.  Within 72 hours, Rusty will contact each of the Hoosier Families.

Mr. Carson and his Office should be more professional?  One maybe 2 or 3 cases, maybe could have fallen through the cracks.  The Carson Policy is the Forgotten Policy!  How many more citizens and families in the 7th District are suffering at the hands of Mr. Carson and his Office?  We need to find them and get them the help they so desperately need and deserve!  Hoosier Veterans, Seniors and families need not suffer and/or die at the hands of their Congressman!
